ask him to take them there and he does. Grandpa tells them to stay out of trouble but the twins get into mischief
anyways. But through this, they create a new kind of bubble.

This story is about a boy named Gregory who is the new kid at school. He is also a good artist. He has trouble
making new friends but kids start to like him after they see the wonderful garden that he made with chalk.

This selection is about a neighborhood that has am empty lot and decides to make a community garden. Old Man Hammer
doesn't participate at first because he thinks it's not good, but he eventually plants some seeds of his own.

This selection is about a little dog named Grace who wants to be famous. She wants to be a seeing eye dog but the
trainer says that she is too small. A deaf man sees Grace save a boy from being hit by a fire truck and decides
that he wants her to be his seeing eye dog.

This is a very cute selection about an African rabbit named Zomo who is clever but wants to be wise. Zomo asks the
sky god for wisdom and the sky god says he will give him wisdom if he can accomplish three impossible tasks. Zomo
acquires wisdom by learning to run very fast from the Big Fish, leopard, and wild cow that he had tricked.

This story is about a girl named Irene who is very brave when she takes the dress that her sick mother has made to
the duchess' palace during the middle of a snowstorm. The wind fights her the whole way, but in the end, Irene is
rewarded.

Arthur A. Levine (Illustrator - Judy Lanfredi).
This selection is about a sheep named Liza who dreams of being a star but is too shy to even try out for the school
play. Instead, Liza signs up for one of the non-speaking parts. But, when Liza is needed, she becomes a hero and
saves the play.

In this selection, Strega Nona has a dream that she is at her grandmother's house at the seashore. The next day,
she keeps mixing up everything, and so she decides to take a vacation. She sends presents to her granddaughter and
grandson. Her granddaughter switches the presents because she wanted the other one and there ends up being a big
mess.

Jerry Spinelli.
This selection is about a boy named Palmer who doesn't want his 10th birthday to come. Every summer in his town,
there is a festival. On the last day of the festival, the town releases 5,000 pigeons, which they shoot for sport.
When the boys in town turn 10, they become wringers--meaning that they wring the necks of the pigeons that don't die
when they're shot. Palmer doesn't understand why his town does this and he doesn't want to be a wringer, especially
since he has a pet pigeon.

This selection is about a man named Jake and his mule, Honeybunch. Honeybunch is the most contrary mule that has
ever lived. Jake always said that Honeybunch would be the death of him, and one day, she was. Jake and Honeybunch
were hit by a train while crossing the tracks. They both went up to heaven, where they almost got kicked out.

Lynn Downey (Illustrator - Karla Firehammer).
This selection is about a flea who tries to fall asleep on top of a mouse in a barn with all the other animals, but
can't because he has the sniffles. He asks for a tissue but no one hears him until he sneezes and wakes everyone
up. The mouse gives him a tissue and all the animals go back to sleep, except for the pig, who now has the sniffles.

This selection is a southwestern version of The Three Little Pigs. Javelinas are relatives of pigs that have very
hairy chins.

Roald Dahl (Illustrator - William Pene Du Bois).
This selection is about a girl who has a magic finger. When she gets mad, she sees red and then things happen to
the person she is mad at. She gets mad at Mr. Gregg and his two sons because they like to hunt. So she puts the
magic finger on the whole Gregg family.
