This is a great selection about firefighters and what they do. The firefighters are depicted as Dalmatians--a fun
touch.

This selection is about a young girl named Cecilia and the surprise 90th birthday party that she and her family have
for her great aunt (t?a). Cecilia prepares a birthday basket for her t?a that has all of their favorite things in

This selection is about two young girls who go to their grandmother's house and try on hats while she tells stories

This is a humorous selection about a boy named Scott who receives his uncle's old hunting coat. The coast is much
too big for him, so everyone thinks that a coat is walking around.

This is a fun, rhyming selection about a bunch of sheep who go driving in their jeep. The sheep crash the jeep into
a pond and some pigs help them get their jeep out of the pond. The sheep are excited until they crash the jeep
again--this time into a tree.

Sheep Trick or Treat-Nancy Shaw (Illustrator - Margot Apple).
This selection is about sheep that make their own costumes and get dressed up for trick-or-treating on Halloween.
On the way home from trick-or-treating, the sheep encounter wolves dressed up as sheep. The wolves and sheep end up
scaring each other and everyone runs home.

This selection is about a pig who takes care of herself and does the things that she enjoys because she is her own
best friend.

This selection is a fun book in which 10 pig brothers go looking for huge stone statues that they had heard about.
They find them in all different kinds of places. The trick for the reader is to find all of the numbers in the
pages in the book.

This is a clever alphabet book in which 26 girls gather 26 different flowers, in 26 different ways for each other.
The illustrations are beautifully detailed paintings.

This selection is about how Miss Bindergarten and her students get ready for the first day of kindergarten. This is
an alphabet book because each of the students' names begins with a different letter of the alphabet. The students'
names rhyme with what they do.

Jabberwocky-Lewis Carroll (Illustrator - Graeme Base).
This is a kind of nonsense book about a prince who slays a monster. The illustrations are exquisitely detailed.

The Spider and the Fly-Tony Di Terlizzi (based on the poem by Mary Howitt).
This selection is about a spider who tries to lure a fly into his house. The fly resists at first but is eventually
caught. The illustrations are in black and white and look like a silent movie.

The Butterfly Boy-Laurence Yep (Illustrator - Jeanne M. Lee).
This selection is about a boy who sometimes dreamed he was a butterfly and as a butterfly he always dreamed he was a
boy. This gets him into trouble quite often, but in the end, he saves his village from an invading army. The
illustrations are beautiful paintings.
