A A Is for Angry: An Animal and Adjective Alphabet

Sandra Boynton. This is a wonderfully clever alphabet for young children. Instead of the usual "A is for apple" type of phrases, Boynton uses different adjectives to describe animals that begin with each letter of the alphabet. The illustrations are absolutely adorable and I love that she says "X isn't for anything," since no animal that kids would be familiar with starts with x. One thing she could have added at the end, though: Z is for "Z end." Ha ha.
